Laminate is a multi-layered, synthetic flooring product that is assembled through a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood with a photographic application layer under a clear protective layer. The inner core layer is usually made of fiberboard materials.
Laminate flooring is growing in popularity, perhaps because it is easier to install and maintain than more traditional surfaces like hardwood flooring. It also has the advantage of costing less and requiring less skill than other flooring materials. It is quite durable, hygienic and relatively easy to maintain.
Laminate flooring comes in tongue and groove planks that can be clicked together.
